So we bought a new Obrien ultra screamer and it has a new valve. It doesn't take the standard inflator hose....it's much bigger. What a PITA. It took me forever to find a video about the valve and of course they have an inflator and/or adapter you can buy. What do others use to inflate these new valves? I guess I could have tried to connect the pump directly to the tube instead of using the hose and see if that would fit.

Post a pic please I need to see what to look for the next time around.

Looks great if you have their pump!

Speaking of air pumps I just used the Airhead pig pump AHP-12AP. The psi is around 1 whereas the typical snail pump as you saw in that video is around 2.5psi. However, the cfm for the pig seems to be a little better although I couldn't find it posted anywhere. 1 psi is enough to blow up my WOW 6x10 water mat. You can't have any folds or bends in it though. The design causes the air to flow over the motor which you would think would heat it up, but compared to the snail blower it was much cooler. We all know that when you pump hot air into a tube and then throw it on the cold water physics kicks in and your tube needs another shot of air. The best part is that it is super quiet compared to the airhead snail blower I have AHP-12HP. I'm sold on the pig but ymmv. Now it's time to mount it somewhere in the back of my boat.

I ran into the exact same problem this weekend. New tube; couldn’t use it. VERY frustrating!!! I’ve ordered the adapter off Obrien website - hopefully this works or tube is being returned.

Probably could use a 18v milwaukee shop vac in a pinch.
