I have a 2008 Mercury Optimax 150hp with a San Leandro model S jet pump. The adjustment tabs are missing from my exhaust tube and so I’m looking to replace it. I removed the U-bolt from the side, but I can’t get the tube to budge. I’ve even tried squirting penetrating oil in there and applying heat. Does anyone have any experience/tricks for removing this? I know they are a press fit, but I haven’t been able to get it to move at all. I don’t have to remove the pump from the powerhead do I? Any info is much appreciated.
