I saw this and thought it might work for a keel protection film. Not a super huge fan of the thick keel protection stuff but I want something to protect from scuffing when I beach the boat. Anythoughts?

Thoughts?

Don’t beach the boat!!

These boats there’s literally no need to beach because you can get the swim deck and stern close to the shore.

Never understood the appeal of purposely risking damage to soft delicate gelcoat or fiberglass.

Get a Keelguard. I've had mine for 9 years. Works great. Protects from rocks and beaching, which we do all the time. When we're 75 to 100 feet from the beach we just shut off the engines and coast in till the Keelguard protected bow gently rides up on the beach. It not only protects the keel from scratches it also keeps us from running the engines in very shallow water.

I have no problem beaching on a sandy beach. If you're intent in doing it, I'd definitely go for a color matching keel guard, despite your aversion. It's the only thing that's going to last and offer any true protection. I don't see the clearcoat protectant option holding up.

Color matched keel guard and you won’t even know it’s there.

Before and after.

Makes sense to me. No one ever said you have to beach bow first. The swim platform is a great suggestion

I did it. The bow roller cut it up the first time out
