From the original post "Florida Gathering" For those who have not seen it, I am putting together a boating outing on August 20 to Pone Inlet and the 21st to Silver Glenn Springs. Love for as many that can attend to do so. I have attempted to create a poll to get idea of how many will be going to one or both of the outings. Please let us know.

Excellent, im at ponce today checking out low tide and where we can park. Water is great today

Water was best i have seen in a longtime super clear. Hopefully it is like that in August

I saw 2 yamaha boats yesterday but no blue one. I had a scarab park beside me, gave him a jetboaters web site card.Looks like you are over on the actual disappearing island. We were straight across by the lighthouse on back of that sandbar. It was nice we were able to stay put about 4 hrs into low tide, then had to walk boat out to a little deeper water. Great picture.

@fairpilot Yes it is my drone. Took some aerial video of the area that day, so I just went back and took a still screenshot on my phone of the area you described.

@fairpilot Didn't fly my drone too long. Someone mentioned there was an airport close by and I saw a few low flying planes so I brought it down. But I got some beautiful footage.. Very nice area.

Thats awesome. Yes New Symrna airport is less than a mile as crow flies. On the right days (wind) they fly right over thw island

Not sure but think FAA frowns on drones near airports

Yes, the airport is right there, barely a mile away. They have an online form for submitting drone flight planes. They want 48hr advance notice.

I've yet to fly my drone from the island but we have from the beach just a tad further away but still within the 5 miles.

Yea i will see if it can be moved. Thought it would see a bit more visibility but you are right.
