Quick question regarding Model of boat.
I own a 2012 sx240 high output but when choosing which model for parts look up, it gives me a list of 3 to choose from. 1. sx 240 high output (sx1800DL)
2. sx 240 high output (sx1800EL)
3. sx 240 high output (sx1800FL)
How do I know which to choose from? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess it depends on what you are ordering. I've not looked up the exact reason for the different codes, but usually it has to do with emissions options. What are you ordering?

I would check my user documentation and the badges / decals in the engine compartment. I think the exact model will be identified there somewhere.

Also the suffix may indicate not just the state, ca = ca edition but may also or instead the color of the boat. Just a thought.

I believe the different model numbers reference the hull color.
I know this came up before, and if memory serves me correctly, I remember it being color codes.

It's also stamped on the right side of the engines if memory serves me correctly.

Ronnie is correct: There is a sticker in your engine compartment to identify the exact model number.

I've order stuff from them before.. great prices and fast launch on delivery.. As far as numbers I know that with mine it was about the color..as far as CA emission or Tahoe star standards:I think all Yamaha's meet these at the time of their manufacturing..Any Westies want to chime in on that?
