SBT 1.8l Upgrade Kit

I must be a bit deft. Um, upgrading what? I know it upgrades the engine, but to what does it upgrade it? Nuclear power?

What's the end result of the upgrade? More Horsepower, better fuel mileage, more durable components or just a lighter wallet?

Its the TC 1.8 upgrade for the pre 2014. I requires new crank, cam gears, and chain plus new guides.
No biggie

Pre 2015 1.8l had random timing chain problems.. In late 2015 yamaha made a stronger chain but had to change the cam gear and crankshaft. The upgrade kit is $2k from yamaha.

has anyone done this ? x2 engines ?
