Guys I have some great news....

A few days ago it was cleared to be able to take your boats to any BRP Powersports (Seadoo) dealer to get service done on your boats. That includes warranty work on the Rotax powerplants!!!!!!!!!

Now this only covers the powerplant portion of your boats. Any other issue will still have to go to your boat manufacturer. So what does this mean?????? Let me detail it to you.

1. No more driving hours to find a Scarab dealer.
2. Experienced techs that know the products, and deal with them every day.
3. You can buy your boat wherever you can get a good price, and not have to worry about the service department for that store.
4. The boats can also go to any BRP jet boat dealer. That means a Scarab can go to Chaparral, Glastron and vice versa.
5. Dealers now have the BUDS software needed to work on our boats.
6. Competitive pricing on preventative maintenance, and regular maintenance.

We all asked, and they have listened and come through.

Remember, this is only on the Engine, its components, and pump. NOT THE BOAT ITSELF!!

Together with the new technology and design going into these new boats, we can finally rest assured that if something goes wrong we can get it resolved.

Well that seems to be some great news. Do you happen to know if this applies in Canada as well???

OK, I've been in contact with a "Roy" from the Beneteau group. Maybe I'll send him an email about to confirm (assuming he can).

This would be very helpful in resetting lights and such.

Good News! But, I am still a little skeptical whether these non-Scarab dealers are going to take on additional work. Hope they due.....

The dealer I visited today (2019) confirmed that they will work on any BRP engine regardless of hull. That means they can take business away from their competition further down the river and vice versa!

I live in Ontario Canada, I stopped at my local BRP dealer and asked if they would service Scarab boat. The answer I got is they can not do warranty work.

@Sidewinder yeah, I'm in Ontario (Ottawa) and had the same feedback. At this point, my warranty is over anyways and I do most of my own maintenance. But if I have a major problem with something, then I'd probably head to my nearest Scarab dealer which is in Kingston (2h drive). Luckily, everything has been holding up well for me along with my ongoing maintenance.

He must Mike because he sells the new seadoo but he told me that he can not work on warranty work. The place is huge (Lockhart) he will work on it but not under warranty.

That stinks! But, keep in mind this thread is over 3 years old. Keep trying and calling different places.

Chaparral is trying to get that deal too. Where are you located?

Called a local dealer on Lake Norman that used to be a Scarab dealer in NC and was told that they're not allowed to touch anything anymore. Scarab won't even let them order parts for Rotax even though it's all BRP. Only option for me is to drive an entire day toward the coast and back.
