Hi Guys. I brought my boat home and started to flush the engines. I fired up the port engine and after a few minutes discovered that the water pipe was winterized and no water Is flowing through. I shut off the engine , turned on the water pipe and The port engine fired up properly and I was able to flush the engine. Now when I try to start the STBD engine nothing but pin drop silence. I can't even hear any starter kick in. I checked that the blowout plugs are in place and the hatch is sealed.

I did a complete half day of boating without any issues.
Any troubleshooting tips? Much appreciated.

Best
Amar

The engine finally started after I left the engine hatch open for sometime to cool the port engine. I also opened and closed the blowout plug hatch.

What a relief :)

Did the overheat warning indicator go off? Check the dipstick on both engines to compare.

No indicator warning lights or sound. Nothing but silence. I will do the oil change tomorrow and see if things are okay.

Best
Amar.

The issue was most likely the cleanout port hatch switch. There is a switch for each engine. If the switch is not closed the engine will not do anything.

They are also often the cause of engines stalling after crossing a wake.
