Steering on yamaha ar 23 sluggish been greasing cables but still not the same as new

You need to replace your steering cables. Are you interested in doing it yourself?

yes what about the master steering control

glad to have you on board @trespalmas I'm guessing you're boating primarily in salt water being in Miami which will cause issues with cables faster than others.

How have you tried to lubricate them? pressure feed or just putting some grease on the exposed wire and working it back and forth?

If you concerned about your steering box you can easily disconnect the cable from behind the helm and work your wheel to see if there is any resistance without the cables.

yes we grease but just noticed blotch of grease ( thought it was too much) on inside stern transom where cable exits so hoping a clip came undone but how to get back there

Just ordered the parts
