I remember years ago when a guy in TX ran aground and a helicopter was one of the proposed solutions. I assume that is an expensive tow.

I remember that story and watching it unfold realtime. Ahhh, those were the days. A kinder/Simpler internet.

I bet that boat is totaled and covered under wreckage removal. Dragging a v-drive like that is basically going to destroy all the running gear, which is thousands of $ worth to fix. Not to mention there's likely tons of gelcoat to fix on that too. It isn't a new boat that is likely worth over 100k. You'd be surprised just how fast damages rack up on those v-drives if they're beached like that. Bet insurance came out, said yup, it's totaled, covered under wreckage removal.

I'm surprised that helicopter had the power to do that....I wouldn't have guessed it could. Pretty cool.
