I have had a number of conversations with guys picking up older Yamaha's. During those times, the subject of mods has come up. So I put together a quick video of what I have done to provide some ideas for others to consider. Actually this video is a compilation of the ideas you guys have suggested.

@buckbuck Do you feel like the clam shell cover over the anchor drain is helping? I’m feeling like I’m getting a fair bit of water intrusion through here. I’ve been thinking about just sticking a plug in it. But, maybe this would help enough. I’ve never really felt like I needed an anchor locker drain, though....

My nose is much lower than yours so I need the drain. If I had your boat I think I would plug it. The clam shell does make a difference because my ropes up front are staying drier.
They are cheap if you do decide to go with one.
