I have a 2019 VRX 203 with twin 150's. I'm having an issue where at idle or low throttle my low fuel alarm starts going off and the gauges will bounce all over the place. Its rather annoying and loud! I always try to keep at least a half of tank of fuel at all times. I read it might be a GPS issue? Has anyone experienced this before? I might just have to wait until the end of the season to take it in for warranty repair but anyone know where the alarm is located so I can at least disconnect it for the time being?

Hi! :Welcome: to the forum.

I doubt it is related to the GPS. Maybe a loose connection from the sending unit?? IDK . Maybe others and @ScarabMike will chime in.

There is a FB Chaparral group you should join and ask there also.

Thanks! I was going to check the sending unit connection today. I was thinking of putting some dielectric grease on it in case its seeing some moisture. Not sure why I didn't think of checking FB groups.

@Nate hey did you fix the issue? It happened to me I also have twin 150's. Both times it happened when I was hitting hard chop with a hard pounding of the waves I was going over. I was thinking the hard bounce made the guage bounce and confuse the system. After I shut the engines off it goes back to normal. Annoying but really doesn't cause any issues.

Once with my 2021 VRX203 I was just motoring up to full speed in a bit of chop when the out of fuel alarm beep came on and gauges all shut down. I shut it off and it restarted and was fine after that (the tank was almost full. Only had about 12 hours on it - up to 20 hours since with no problem.

This is a complete shot in the dark, but worth mentioning as it's a possibility, and a complete needle in a hay stack unless you stumble upon it. Mine is a 2015 build for the 2016 model year that I ordered new. Fall of 2018 I was out on the lake at night for the first time, I noticed that half of my instrument/gauge lights were out. A few days later on the weekend I was rooting around tracing the power wire (blue) for the instrument lights, and I found this,,,,

Had I not been forced to push connectors, and wires around to follow the rabbit hole, I may not have found this as quick as I did.
Just simple excessive crimp force.
A correct fix was to remove the terminal from the connector, repair and solder.
