I have an 01 Sea Doo Utopia with a 2.5 carburated Mercury with jet drive.

The exhaust runs from the back of the engine into two large round aluminum cylinders and from there it exits out the back of the boat. There is no baffling from what I can see inside his aluminum cylinders.

Is there any risk of may just bypassing the cylinders altogether so the exhaust doesn't resonate inside these aluminum Chambers and amplify through my engine compartment?

I was thinking of using a heavy-duty rubber fuel line that's rated to handle the temperatures. Right now the hose that's being used looks like standard radiator hose.
