Is wet carpet under the seats in the bow normal? I didn't take on much water, I'm not sure where it's coming from. What's the best product to soak it up and clean mold b/c I see it coming. Thanks in advance.

It is most likely from the anchor locker drain (leak). Need to seal the drain tube on both sides, which is a pretty easy DIY. Most likely your drain tube is not sealed at all on the inside and lets water in strait into the front storage.
I'm sorry can;t find the link to the relevant posts right now, but I'm sure others will chime in. Good news is - it is easy to fix. Bad news is - Yamaha doesn't seem to give a shit.

Thanks for your reply. That's what I suspected but wasn't sure. I'll look up the thread for how to fix myself.

In addition to the anchor locker, Yamaha does not run any tubing from the cockpit cup holders. So if you got stuck in a rain storm or washed the boat then water is going to drain into your storage compartments and soak the carpet. I would seal those if you haven't already or you can run clear tubing back to the bilge from each cup holder.

ok, good to know, thanks. I ordered 3m 5200 today. Hopefully this helps with the excessive water.
