I am totally new to this with little boating experience but this is what I want to do with a boat. I want to use it on lakes and I want to be able to go up rivers between lakes. Most people have told me an aluminum jet boat is what I need. I want to explore a few lakes and areas in the north of BC and the Yukon. After that I will probably sell and try another type of boating.

Depending on the sizes of the lake, rivers and depths that you are going to be in is going to determine what you may want. It sounds to me like a good HD aluminum with jet dive would do the trick but without being there to see exactly what the circumstances are it’s hard to tell.
