Found this on my bilge by the drain plug. What is it and where did it come from?

I think it's a stopper for a Sake bottle. Probably fell out of a Yamaha worker's lunch pail.

Thanks for the laughs.
I assume from the lack concern that it's just some kind of plug left over from assembly. One that no one thought was important enough to remove from the bilge. Kind of like the all the fiberglass and aluminum left in there that ruined my drain plug seal.

Yes it is a running joke here amongst new Yamaha boat owners. Sometimes we think the workers leave stuff in the bilge just for these occasions. That part looks straight out of Lowe's plumbing and may not even be boat related . In all likelihood it's a spare to something but to what is the question lol. Imagine if one of them sprinkled some broken or jagged metal bits in there . The owner would likely have a heart attack. I'm just waiting for the day someone finds a sack lunch partially eaten but now rotten to the core that was stuff somewhere in the bilge while they were hooking up the plumbing
And yes the next thing you'll likely see, if you haven't lost it already, is the silicone ring that comes out of the exhaust. Mine took about a year to finally birth itself.
