I've never used a boat lift before and am looking for some advice. Rental house I have next week has the lift pictured below. I have a 242 and would love to use this, but am not sure if lifts are purpose built for certain boats or not. I don't have any information on the length or lift capacity on it. Have zero experience with them.... Any thoughts?

I have one of these and love it. However, I don't think this one will work for you. I have a 2017 AR240, and when we (the dealer and I) were fitting it to my boat it turned out that it needed bunker mount extensions to lift the bunkers higher. I think the extensions are 3"? Anyways, without the extensions you're going to be resting your keel on the aluminum frame. At least that's how mine was. As far as capacity, no issue there. The one you pictured has extensions on the floats, it's a lot of excess capacity by a lot for mine. With the float extensions I think it's good for 10,000 pounds. (Don't quote me on that.)

Yeah, I saw that frame but wasn’t exactly sure if it would be a problem. Thanks for the info
