Yamaha gp1800 svho check engine light

While I am waiting for my Yamaha 275 boat I decided to buy some new jet skis gp1800 svho

I took them out for the first time and one of them had the check engine light start beeping after 15 minutes of riding. I pulled over let for 5 minutes started back up and ran for 20 minutes and no check engine light. Any idea what happened?

nothing in the intakes and I didn’t even run them hard as I’m in the break in period.

What did the light look like, say? You may have had a blocked / clogged cooling intake passage that eventually cleared itself.

Did the engine go into safe mode (limited performance after the “check engine engine” light came on?

The light was just the engine icon. I didn’t see an overheating warning.
No loss of performance. Just beeping.
