Yamaha new boat release timing

Anyone else think it's a complete waste and downright stupid that Yamaha introduces their new line of boats at the END of 95% of the USA's viable boating season?

Why not January/February each year? They must have some method behind their madness.

It is pretty stupid, but they're not alone in it. Seems to me that it gives the buying populace a big "cooling down" period to lose the excitement over a new model. Why not let anticipation build and then release the things in February?

It's when all the manufactures release their new product. I would assume it's because it's right before the boats shows start.

as said above its before boat show season but most do not release their new products until november and early december because boat shows start in january

Not sure why they do it, but glad they did. I feel for you that have to winterize...I really do...ok...no I don't. ;-)

X-20 in August
X-23 In October

I kind of like the one Model at a time Idea too...kinds the Interest up in the Fleet...

I think that allows them to advertise and build up awareness so that people can begin buying in the middle of boat show season. Launching in the middle of the summer would hurt current model year sales from my experience.

It worked for me i was waiting till boat show season to buy my wife her own Jet Ski but she may have lost that and I may take that money and upgrade to the 2015 all the new electronics look awesome to me. The only thing that worries me is beaching from the rear with the new steering on the back. Somehow I see myself breaking or bending that thing pretty fast.
