Electrical gremlins are the worst and always end up something small and silly.

The bad news is, in terms of performance mods your MR-1 engines are notoriously difficult to improve upon. HO versions are maxed out from the factory (and not much can be done) while the non-HOs upgrade to HO is not practical as it would cost as much as an engine.

The good news is, you picked a boat with some of the best built small block engines on the planet!

Awesome. Thank you very much. I'm not looking for performance gains. I think tuning stock vehicles is pointless and potentially dangerous. Tune when you add boost, cams, compression, etc. Glad to know these engines are good, I did no research other than seeing these boats and wanting one!

No. You'll need to buy a compression test gauge for that. BTW, the YDS is for Yamaha boats. I'm not sure if you're aware of that, your listed as having a sea Doo, just thought I'd mention that.

Run a compression test before you buy! Don't get burned like I did on my 04 ar230. Use a suction device to pull a good size oil sample to look at closely.
