Is anyone interested in getting a gathering together on one of the lakes in the Austin TX / Central TX area?

Interested. Unfortunately, now that high school band season has started, time is usually limited. But I will be monitoring and will join if I can...

Might too late in the season, but we will defiantly consider.

We're on Lake Travis every other weekend.

I’m up on LBJ. There are a couple of new sandbars that would work well

Moving to Georgetown next spring!! I will definitely want to go next year!

@Betik that's great!! I'm a liberal from Oregon. I'll fit right in![flag]

Following. We take our 210FSH out on Lake Austin most weekends.

We are generally on Lake Travis three to four times a week (out of Lakeway Marina), usually both days on the weekend. May change a bit as school started this morning but the kids are just starting to get good on the wakeboard and I know they will be wanting to keep in some of the weekend time.

We are usually out on either Fridays or one of the weekend days. We come out of NorthShore and generally hang out in the lower basin area.

Mostly over in the zip line cove. It's getting tight everywhere now.

What's Travis look like today? I haven't been out there in a long minute. I'm sure the dam is the only place to launch now with the lower water levels.

The lake level is about 36 ft down right now, but easily boat-able. If you are coming down and we can coordinate, I can get you off at our marina (private ramp) that is a good steep ramp with quick to 60+ ft depth. You just have to pull out before sunset and the walk to where you would have to leave your trailer/tow vehicle is a bit of a hike, but doable. I did it many times before we got in our slip.

As far as navigation goes, the level is down. People get in trouble when they try to shortcut corners. There is still plenty of water for boating; a few of the coves are getting a bit tight, and there is the usual drama in Devils Cove among the revelers and the residents.
