HO Hovercraft

Anyone out there purchase the HO Hovercraft. It is a newer ski from HO Sports. Supposed to be designed for riding easier behind jet propelled boats/skis.

I am contemplating one but hoping to hear from experienced guys/gals out there that have skied behind their jetboats with them. I cannot ski my usual set up as I am a former direct drive guy (32' off at 36 mph). Looking to still ski but more about just having fun.

That thing is basically a wakeboard with the binding setup like a ski. You should just wakeboard.

I prefer to ski. I was hoping to use it on a shortline (wakesurf rope) just for fun.

I had this same question, the hovercraft looks like a lot of fun.

I was just thinking that I could run a really short line similar to the surf rope and just play hard on each side of the wake.

Marketing video looks nice. Spared no Expense there.

Looks like more sizzle than steak to me. Once you're up, it's basically a beginners slalom ski. Wouldn't mind trying one, but I don't think I'll plunk down any cash of my own for one.

I plan to buy a wakeskate just to have in our arsenal of stuff but at 47 yrs old, I am not sure I am limber enough to have something that doesn't have foot bindings. It looks neat and I intend to have one for us at some point in time. Looks like they are fairly reasonable price wise too.

You don't need the bindings. Comes up just like a wakeboard and gravity does the rest for you .

I'll be 41 this year, and get the "less than bendy" sentiment

Funny. I don't bend as well either. 32' off at 36 mph slalom ski makes me feel old the next day. lol
