Show us your tow rigs!

Just saw this in the neighborhood while walking my dog. Now I’m looking to buy one to replace the much smaller version I broke the handle off of when I forgot it was attached to my trailer (second pic). The question is where would I store the much bigger boot? IMG_4471.jpegIMG_4472.jpeg

On the trailer or in the back of your truck? Everything that comes off goes in the truck and goes back on when it's stored again.

This would be for my boat trailer that I tow with an expediton. So most likely I’d keep it in the expediton in season but it’s going to take up a lot of room.

Got rid of the 2017 Ram 1500 which we used to tow our FSH 210. Today was the first trial run with the Tesla Model X we bought. It was impressive, actually pulled out of the ramp easier than the Ram with a Hemi did.

Could you clamp it to the spare to store it?

After three and a half years of ownership, I still love my Ram. Trucks are like boats, not the same model or make suits everyone, but it sure is nice when the truck (or boat) mets your expectations! Spent two weeks before Christmas moving stuff around. Not as shiny as she once was, but still a pleasure to drive and haul stuff with.

Just traded our silverado for this , only pulled the boat once so far , was not a huge fan of the exterior to start with , but I really like the interior, we've had tundras before , last one was a 18 model trdView attachment 215174View attachment 215175
I swear the Tundra has doubled in size over the years. It’s the American way, bigger is never big enough… I had a 2002 Yukon XL and now have a 2022 Yukon XL, I swear it’s doubled in width and height. I like how Toyota moved to the more “ridged” look opposed to the previous generation “bubble” look.

We've been very happy with our '23 towing and as a family rig. Get ready for the recall letters to arrive, I think I've seen 6 or 7 so far?

You are right. Whether they have gotten overall bigger or not?......maybe......but I know that when I test drove the new Chevy vs. my older 2011....the hood made me feel like it was wider than the lane! I had to become a beginner driver again for a bit (lining up my face with the left side "rut" of the lane"). Now it's all normal but it is about five inches taller and the hood is flat straight across so it felt like it was twice the size.

Looks great! Curious to see how you like it. The Armada is on the short list for my wife and I to upgrade her Rogue.

@BlkGS See, I'm not the only one that likes these :D :D

I love it so far! Haven't towed with it yet as it's presently snowing out. The third row seat is a little tight on space and the gas mileage is fairly poor. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with it. I also paid $1,000's under invoice which helped make it an easier decision.

Mileage is going to be poor for certain. The Nissan 5.6L is a thirsty beast. 400hp though, and it makes a GREAT noise at full tilt!

Curious how you got it under invoice though. I know Nissan likes to deal, but that would represent quite the price cut. Was it a '23 model they were trying to move, or something like that?

I have heard they are discontinuing the Titan so maybe it applies to the Armada?

Correct, it's a '23. There were several on the lot

My local dealer is doing about $10k off on 2023 Armada so or platinum, and like $5k off 24s.

Still puts them at like 60-65k, lotta money for a single pane moonroof. I'd have a hard time not getting a Tahoe.

I'm on the struggle bus with GM and their 5.3's right now. Everyone I know with one has had issues with oil containment. Lots of oil cooler.line issues, on top of the ever present lifter issues with the AFM system.

I do love the look of the AT4 Yukons though.

That's fair, I still think the engine to get is the diesel.

My buddy from college just had to replace his 8 speed in his Tahoe at about 90k miles. I'd be more afraid of getting an 8 speed than the 5.3, at least the 5.3 you can AFM delete and do new lifters and be good.
