Hi all,

Getting tired of long winters and short summers and I am thinking about moving south. One option I am looking into is Chapin, SC. Lake Murray looks nice and a lot of new houses going up. Anyone here from the area?

another consideration is near lake linear.

I've been dreaming of moving to Miami for a long time. It is one of the most popular and sought cities to live in because almost half of the population are foreigners.
This thread is about Lake Murray, not about Miami. Where are you from?

Not from the area, but have visited the lake. It was amazing/awesome. It actually convinced my wife to finally get on the lake house train (something I had been wanting for a long time.). The lake is huge and I feel like you would never run out of places to go/explore. At the time we only rented a pontoon boat, so I don't know what it would be like with a bow rider. I know it may not be a lot of help, but as I said, for the week we spent there, it was awesome.

I'm in Tampa Florida and even I have been kicking around the idea of living the lake life in S.C. or N.C.. Still also in the very early stages of planning / looking also open to ideas of lakes to live on. I just know that I want a dock behind my house to keep my boat at and add some jet skis to my collection. Lake must be clean so that we could swim tube etc in it.
