252 series- start buttons illuminated?

Can anyone tell me if the push start buttons should illuminate like the rest of the console? (2022 SD version) Seems odd they do not when everything else seems to.

Mine do not - 2021 252SE. I've spent more time than I would like stuffed in the helm compartment and nothing about the switches ever caught my attention as incorrectly wired.

At night while moving I usually have to turn off the helm lighting anyway and cut the Connext down as low as it will go.
