Well got my coolant problem buttoned up. Now having issue closing my engine seat. It opens no problem but when I go to close it doesn’t latch properly. Was wondering if anyone knows how to adjust it? Those pics prob don’t help lol

Assuming there are no cracks in the plastic... the stud orientation is correct (flat sides to the sides of the boat, rounded parts bow/stern), then you need to ensure the screws are very tight (without cracking the fibreglass) and that the stud is at the correct height to latch. This may require you to adjust the height of the stud unless it's JUST high enough for the latch to catch. But the stud must absolutely stay immobile. Many put extra lock washers and loctite. Even then, I keep a close eye on mine regularly.

IMO, it's not the best design..... too prone to releasing. Too many reports of this issue.

If that isn't satisfactory, many also add rubber tie downs of some sort like they use on coolers.

Ok sounds good. Ya if my boat is in lift on a slight angle it will work. If I’m sitting in water it wants to pop up on me. I was wondering if it had a little grace for adjusting.
Thanks again for the info. I’ll give it a shot. By the time I’m done gonna feel like a boat mechanic lmfaoooo

That's how I got to know my boat. In the earlier days, there was very little info out there because they were new. It forced me to figure out everything as I went. I made plenty of mistakes, dismantled many things, looked at many diagrams and service manual pages.... I definitely feel like a mechanic now. :)

I attached these 2 stainless latches. My stock latch was beginning to give me some grief, even my dealer said they are an issue .
