We always use the shower when we do salt water and never had an issue. Today i turn it on and try it it sprays for a second then just dribbles. I can hear the pump and feel it pulse like its trying to build pressure. ...
see video.

We still had a great day off st pete. Weather was terrific

Sounds like the integrated pressure sensor has gone bad. Double check the wires for corrosion and you have water in the tank but I'm thinking its time for a new pump. Unscrew the shower head and make sure the push button on the head isn't messed up (pump should run continuously).

Air bubble. Put the hose on it and turn it on. Wait till the water comes out of the overflow and you should be good. Happens to mine all the time.

I had the same problem on mine. I ended up with a pinched hose hose behind the starboard aft speaker. The hose wasn't secured well enough at the factory and after about 8hrs on the motors it "jumped" around enough to get stuck in between the structures and pinched off.

IF the above hose/air bubble fix doesn't work I would remove that back left speaker and run your hand over the hose and make sure it isn't caught anywhere blocking the flow.

ok i hooked up the hose again ad had it flowing out the overflow on the side and started the shower. I tried for about 20 min on an off and it didnt help.
yes the pump still you can hear and fell it cycle on and off.

I removed the speaker and could feel all the way to the end of the hose4 behind the compartment and it was fine no kinks. .

i guess its dealer time.
Also that same speaker is blown, tower is very hard to remove the pins, i fixed the extra sound foam with 3m 90. i will make a list and i guess drop it off when it cools down.

I am going through this now. My boat has been to the dealer twice and they have tried just about everything with Yamahas assistance to no avail. They are currently waiting for the next instruction.

It's the pump. Call Jabsco tech support to confirm it. I've replaced many pumps with similar problems. Don't let its newness fool you.

How would you even get access to the pump? Its way up in the hull.

The pump is very accessible. It is under the starboard storage area mounted to the engine side wall before the tank.

That's funny since the only thing they did not change was the pump. They swapped out parts with another boat they have but not the pump. Screen, sprayer, hose, etc., but never the pump. I will suggest that today.

Here is the video I sent to my dealer when I was trying to describe the issue prior to taking her in:

I don't usually write long posts, so I apologize now.

Hooray! My fresh water shower is finally working right. This has been a journey. While I went through so much frustration to fix a seemingly simple mechanism, I understand why now and will cut Yamaha and the dealer some slack.

This all started from my 9 year old bothering me to use the shower. I don't know that I would have ever used it if he did not push. Each week he would ask if he could use it and of course, I had forgotten to fill it. When I finally remembered and told him to try it, I got nothing. At first the hose from the pump was not connected at all, so we were dumping tons of water into the storage area. When I used a flashlight and searched around, I could see the disconnected hose but had no way to get to it. I took it to the dealer and they pulled the tank and got it hooked up. When I get it back home, I tested and found that the pump was cutting off. Since that time, the boat has spent 8 weeks overall (on and off) at the dealer. Yes, for a shower sprayer. However, I would take the boat there on a Monday, on my way to the airport, leave it there all week and pick it up on my way home. Sometimes, I would leave it there for a couple of weeks if I knew we couldn't get on the water that week. During this time, we managed to get the Yamaha tech liaison to Japan involved, the manufacturer of the pump involved, the manufacturer of the tank involved and the designer of the entire system involved.

So here is the culprit. In the diagram below, notice the area marked "A". It is a fitting that exist between the storage compartment where the tank lives and the hose with the sprayer in the swim deck wall. That fitting connects the hose from the pump to the hose of the sprayer. specifically, item #9 (a $7.00 piece) was stripped and was introducing air into the system that was intern introducing a back pressure that caused the pump to shut off (protection mechanism). This was a hard issue to find. I spoke directly to Yamaha and the dealer everyday. They had a boat out in CA that was exactly like mine and duplicated every step that they asked the dealer to perform. They swapped out every component in the boat related to the shower including, the Connext screen, Connext control module, pump, hoses and the entire wiring harness that goes from the front of the boat back to the engine bay. Imagine swapping all those parts out and the system still not working. Moreover, they put my parts into another boat and that boat worked. Both Yamaha and the dealer were super puzzled. Eventually, the dealer decided to blow compressed air back through the system to see if there were any leaks. Sure enough, while reaching around back there, they could feel the air coming through. They pulled the tank, crawled back there and removed the piece to discover the defect. They swapped the piece with another boat and "viola", it worked!

Sweet.. can you help me try and find this within my boat? Which wall to look at and from inside the boat or from the rear cushion?

i just looked from inside cabin it looks like its behind the tank so you need to remove the tank to fit it right?

#7 is exterior side of boat for overfill
A is to rear of boatt
#1 pump is on the inside firewall next to engine..

Correct. This fitting is behind the tank and a pain to get to. I would let the dealer do it under warranty.
