What are the do's & dont's to putting her away for the winter? So far pulled battery & put it on a tender. Fuel is treated. Everything is out of all compartments. Keeping port console open because last season developed a little mold. Ski locker drain out to evacuate water toward rear drains. Boat slanted up so all water drains to the back. Access port caps under wet storage hatch out. Any other tips would be appreciated. In California so not much of any freeze.

If you store it outside dont forget the anti pooling kit (poles and straps).

Ive been putting damp rid in the compartments and cockpit the last few years. I will also remove the bimini and store it indoors when im sure i wont be going out again this year. Im in ncal and though its not as sunny and warm as long as scal i learned a while back not to totally put the boat away until mid october or so. Nothing like taking the boat out on a warm fall day when there are less boaters on the water and the water is like glass. I keep marine stabil onboard in case i take the boat out again and need to treat any new fuel needed to too off the tank.

The crazy thing is the carpet felt dry to the touch prior to placing them in there! Just shows how much water really can be pulled out of those carpets even when they feel dry.

Where do you buy those from? Amazon? LBS (Local Boat Shop)?

Home Depot / Lowes also sell them (in the aisle with the cleaning supplies). They're cheap, and easy to use

+2 Damp-Rid! I either get 2 4lb. buckets, or BJ's sometimes has a 6-pack of the smaller cups. Scatter them around and in the compartments and they will keep the mold away. When you uncover in the spring the interior will smell like Lavender too!!!! :winkingthumbsup"

@4wheeldeal In the video I made that was only one storage compartment. I place one tub in each storage compartment, so the amount of water they pull out depends on how wet or damp each of those compartments got throughout the season. To this day my storage compartments still smell good and do not have any musty smell. It's worth it IMO.
