    Yeah, that would do it. You'll be surprised how quick you can fry a vehicle PCM by just attempting to jump start a vehicle. See it all the time, other then lightning strikes in south Fl, now that wipes all types of modules in a car.

    I just finished my install over the weekend, installed 4 7 inch fusion MS-FR7022 Marine speakers with a 10" fusion subwoofer. I'm impressed with the amp, runs all 5 speakers with no problem and very loud. The amp is a 8 channel, I bridge channels 5 and 6 to run the subwoofer.

    Depending on the antenna, you could install it on helm or on the side of the boat. I did it mine on the side. As for where to mount the radio, you could do a flush mount or mount on the storage compartment. Here some pics of my install:
