    GPS/Fish Finder Mount FSH 190

This was my installation, had it for 2 1/2 years, works good at all speeds (except when reverse) and water temperature is accurate. https://jetboaters.net/threads/installing-a-lowarence-elite-5-on-a-fsh.7785/#post-134820

What is the "real" top speed for a 190 FSH Sport? Apples to apples...

Full tank of gas will make a difference, the only times I hit over 40 MPH (gps speed) is when 2 persons on board and half a tank of gas on a flat day.

    Salt water vs Fresh Water

Also consider the condition of the steering and throttle cable, these do not like saltwater and ocean they develop rust may need to be replaced. not a deal breaker but after boating in saltwater for the last 2.5 years with a Jet boat, is the only concern I have.

Mantus Anchor Tested in the Bahamas

You really need to give it a good yank to break the tie-rap loose, never had a problem. I have been out in the sea at 60' deep with 3 ' waves and 15 MPH wind. THIS is the best way not to loose your anchor instead of cutting the rope because you cannot get it unstock. You just need to keep a bag...

Mantus Anchor Tested in the Bahamas

@PeterB Tip when using a Mantus or any other anchor that you don't want to lose due to being stuck in a rocky botom, is to use the Zip tie method: zip tip the chain to the top of the anchor where the hooks are to make a breakaway anchor, In case it is stock, pull hard and snap the zip tie so...

installing a Lowarence Elite 5 on a FSH

Plumber putty is only used to keep the epoxy in place when pouring , it is not a substitute. There is no way of testing it before instalation. Once installed with epoxy correctly, the hull and the transducer become one.

What is the "real" top speed for a 190 FSH Sport? Apples to apples...

Guys, whatever you do, don't look at GPS speed or you will be disappointed! Do not upgrade to a GPS or you will slowdown your boat by 5-8 miles!!!:banghead:

    Steering Free Play

TV will make the steering wonder way better. I had mine without them for a year and once i installed them it made such a difference, i can now give the steering to someone else when driving at lower speeds.

SeaDek on the FSH and Fishing

I did seadeck on the swim platform last year and have fished multiple times, easy to clean. It does help to you fish from the plaform when its wet or when waves are moving the boat.

Does anyone wakeboard in Biscayne Bay or off Key Largo?

Between boca chita and elliot key in front of the sandbar. Once you are outside the no wake zone, it's about 6' to 8' And you have a big area away from the shallow.

    FSH with thrust vector question.

TV's or Vipers, either one will save your marriage! I installed the TV's on my FSH, never had any issues other then maybe cutting my top speed by 2-3 MPH. But the steering response at low speed and being able to hand off the steering to someone else is worth it.

    Bow eye rust

There is something with the material and fitting on the bow eye. I had the same thing happen to me from the start and I only boat in saltwater. I had to bring mine in for a fiberglass repair right under the bow eye for a factory imperfection that I did not.Catholic upon delivery , and since that...

    Just purchased a FSH 190

Welcome, i hope you enjoy your new boat. Steering is not hard, just takes a little time to get use to. Try to spend a full day learning how to maneuver at slow speeds and docking. Best thing you can do is find a floating tied up buoy in the water away from traffic and do low speed mneuver /...

Looking for drain plug lights or thread sizing for FSH

@Kahuna Khris see the threat below for LED drainplug installation on a my 190 FSH. I've had them for over 110 hours on saltwater and they work as good as the first day. https://jetboaters.net/threads/drain-plug-led-diablo-royal.7833/

    Engine Performance

That is basically your average top speed on these boats. I normally see 34-36 since TV steering system, before was 38-40 and top speed 44 with 1/3 of a tank 2 passengers no gear on a complete flat day.
