    What Grade of Gas To Use

    The (R+M)/2 you see on the label refers to the average of the research octane number (RON) and the motor octane number (MON) ratings. To determine the RON, the fuel is tested under engine idle conditions with a low air temperature and slow engine speed.

    How many of you put your mooring covers on while on a lift?

    My lift has a cover so I don't cover the boat. If the lift didn't have a cover, I'd put the boat cover on. You get pretty good at it.     What is the oldest gas you have run in your boat?

    I've had mine sit at least 2 years and its run fine. I used 89 with ethanol and put in Marine Stabil and its been fine. I haven't run it empty on that gas sitting so long but filled up with about half a tank. My boat is kept in climate controlled storage at about 45F for the lowest temp. I'll be...

    Yamaha Tools needed to remove the flywheel

    I pulled a car flywheel and got the gear puller from Napa or an auto parts store. Not sure what the tools Yamaha recommends looks like but an auto parts store might have what you want. I can't remember if I had to put a deposit down to "borrow" the tools or if store still lend tools out.

    Queen Elizabeth II passed today...

    She definitely was an icon and had a long and interesting life. If you haven't seen the show Windsors on Netflix, the show gives a humous side to the royal family. It will be interesting to see what role the royal family plays in Englands future.
