Purchased a salt water Lift any recommendation on restoring/servicing it ?

I'm at about 50hrs. We didn't use the boat last year and maybe get a week or two on it. The boat is at our second house. The Head Unit went out. Changed the oil first time after break in and then forgot how long it has been since the first change. Changed the oil this Jul with about 5yrs on the...

Emergencies, Private Property, Docks and Rights

I thought part of USCG rules was to help any boater in distress. Im on a small lake but if you need to dock at my dock because a thunderstorm is coming up, I'm all for it. You damage my dock, then you should pay.

    Winterization threads (OMFG)

Just changed my oil after 7 yrs. Almost zero time on the boat. I did the first change after 10hrs. First change was with oil and filter I got from the local auto place. Second change was Yamaha kit. Friend of mine said to go synthetic since I don't run the boat that much. I just don't see the...

    YAMAHA FINANCING

I bought my boat in 2014 and the interest rate was and still is 2.99 percent. My loan didn't get screwed up fortunately when the loan changed lenders.

My parents had a 1968 Old convertible. 454 V8 which I think is 7.2L 0-60 in a day. You could see the gas gauge drop when you floored it.

Not to continue beating a dead horse but....

We have a lake home in northern Wis, we got a letter from someone asking to buy it. Weird. And its weird because we live in AK so it wasn't just a letter dropped in our mailbox, they had to dig up our AK address. Bought our lake house for $400K and a similar one sold for $700K. Insane. I heard...

    2013 AR210 - $44,850

I heard new car prices are up 8% this year vs 2% in the past years. I guess the issue I heard was computer chips for the cars are in short supply so car production is down.

How you take your Boat Lift in and out of your lakes?

Yep, that price is for both. I'll be shopping around or figuring out how to do it myself.

    How do you rinse inside?

I use micro fiber cloths and what ever cleaning spray is appropriate for the material being cleaned. I use hot sauce on the seat cushions, windex on the dash and the rest of the fiber glass areas.

How you take your Boat Lift in and out of your lakes?

I agree but I haven't had time to search for a cheaper alternative yet. Wheels for the lift might be something I look into. I only get to the lake house about 2 weeks in the summer so not a whole lot of time to figure out something better.

How you take your Boat Lift in and out of your lakes?

I hire a guy. I have a dock and lift. $1,000 total to put them in and take them out. Dock I can do myself and I'll probably figure out a way to diy. Lift is a young man's game so I'll pay for that. Our lakewall is about 3 feet high and I can't put a ramp in.

What's the best dual battery kit?

I couldn't say if the boat handles differently with or without the keel guard. I had mine installed by the dealer. I do have some nice scrapes in mine and my lake is almost all sand so I hit a rock beaching somewhere.
