    Just purchased a 195s

ACK...in Rochester it'll be August before the water temp rises enough to dunk a toe! Up here in Canada, we don't own bathing suits! :coldfeet:

    Yamaha Integrated Chartplotter

Curious how that works out with the update. Did you replace the phone holder with the GO5?

    Inteli Plug

OMG...what a great idea! $179 for about $1.50 in parts is a great way to make massive profits. Wish I thought of it first...heck you can sell 1 a day and make over $750/week profit. Dang I'm jealous... ?

    Deck that remembers input

A typical 90-100 AH lead-acid battery (that's a good one) has about 4-5 AH per WEEK electron loss...so another amp is not much more of a drain. If you don't use your boat that often (say once or twice a month), you really should have a battery maintainer on it anyway to prevent sulfation...

    Deck that remembers input

I doubt too many companies worry about power loss as these are usually used in a vehicle with battery power available 365 days a year like a car/truck - no need to add another circuit for flash memory. And that "parasitic" drain would be milliamps to keep the memory intact - it would take months...

Sealed the deal on our new 2019 212 Limited S!

Umm...what's with the skeleton in the water? ???

    Purchased 2020 Yamaha AR190

Don't limit yourself to Yamaha videos either, the Vortex and Scarab jet boat videos have useful info too. There's hours and hours of stuff out there to watch while waiting to get on the boat. Oh one thing to remember about exploring creeks and rivers, although the jetboats advertise they have a...

Swap bench for Chair on AR195

That's what I've heard too - the hulls are the same from SX - AR so it's just a matter of using the right parts to plug in. We pondered buying an AR series boat but the bench seat was a show stopper, and thought about buying a a chair to replace it. Then Yamaha came out with the 195s with 2...

    yamaha no crank

Could be the ignition switch - it's a pretty simple contact switch to engage the solenoid and not hard to replace.

    Purchased 2020 Yamaha AR190

What everyone else said, and the steering to push or pull the stern is opposite. Since the engine is running and "pushing water" all the time, when you're docking turning the steering wheel port will push the stern to starboard in toward the dock. A prop drive in reverse pulls the stern in when...

    Yamaha Integrated Chartplotter

You can have the maps updated - there's a microSD card in the back and it comes with base maps for all of N/A or the world. For more details you need to update with maps for your area. The display is an Actia and uses Navionics map data. Your dealer should be able to get your card activated and...

    Trailer Setup Yamaha or Dealer

Big corporate is more left doesn't know right stuff - so I can see the issue with longer hull not being communicated right away. You should be able to get new bunks installed if you have a 2019, that's when the hull changed and Yamaha appears to be interested in customer approval. Give them a...

Can't answer about the newer maps feature in the Connext screens - very little info out there. They seem to be ok since no one is complaining about them. ?

    2019 7 inch Connext Maps

For everyone's info, Actia is the company who supplies the displays for Yamaha. The link below is the introduction of the newer 7 inch flush mount displays. Not a lot of info online though as they are vendors for boat builders (as well as commercial fleet, etc.)...

    Trailer axle bent

Have you tried contacting Yamaha support to see if they can direct you to someone? Shoreland'r makes the trailer, but they're not the seller since Yamaha sources from them. I've found second level support and customer service at Yamaha is excellent - the front lines are drones reading a script...

Advice: 190/195 changes through the years.

Hi @flowjet I'm not that well versed with older models as I didn't even think about or look at jet boats until a few years ago. So my info may not be 100%. I'll try to stick with recent technical changes to the boat design itself and leave accessories to those in the know. So as with any...

    Our new 2020 195S

Yamaha changed the reverse bucket in 2019 to give more lateral thrust. Apparently they work well enough that aftermarket upgrade is not necessary. In 2017 they added the Articulating Keel (AK) feature that adds off-power steering and better slow speed control.

    Our new 2020 195S

Really...didn't realize some states have different octane levels for "premium". So much for standards... ?
  19. C

    Our new 2020 195S

Not sure if that was a typo? The SVHO 1.8l engines recommend 91 octane rating for optimal performance according to Yamaha - check the 195 series manuals. The ECU will compensate if you use 87-89 octane by adjusting spark, but performance will be less and you may experience detonation issues in...
