    2019 AR195 Ribbon delete

I understand the older supercharged system had a smaller intercooler and perhaps less boost pressure, and was more prone to heat soak, so removing the ribbon may have helped more? Perhaps the delete on the newer systems has less of an effect?

Connext show battery at 11.9v but battery test shows 12.58v

Yup, as long as the readings are relative, it's not an issue. Check and confirm readings when the engine is running (probably will be the same here), off, and after using battery power for a while like listening to tunes. If they remain about the same voltages off, you know it's just a relative...

    2019 AR195 Ribbon delete

This seems to be the concensus - the supercharger produces a forced air intake so removing the ribbon doesn't make much difference as the air is rammed into the intake system. On a normally aspirated engine where natural vacuum is used for air intake, the ribbon causes a drop in air flow...

Boats on order - staying with your plan?

That's our concern - our dealer is closed so we can't even check to see if it was shipped or not, or if it was even built yet. ?

Boats on order - staying with your plan?

I work in an essential service. My wife is a nurse. We know exactly what's going on, and our opinion hasn't changed nor is it likely to change as the facts and stats have no reason to cause a change. Also I don't get offended easily because opinions vary. This COVID hysteria has no basis for...

Boats on order - staying with your plan?

Construction is definitely affected in our area - lots of companies have shut down due to staff refusing to work because our dummies in government said, "afraid of catching coronavirus" is a reason to stay home. It's like a Monty Python skit...

Boats on order - staying with your plan?

Yup, COVID hysteria is really making a mess of the economy and spring prep. I was planning on building a new 20 ft deck in the backyard and don't think that'll happen this year the way things are going either... ☹

    ‘18 / ‘19 Connext Navigation

We hope to pick up our new boat in the next couple of months - not sure when now due to this hysterical COVID crap. Once we get it, I'll be doing an update on the GPS MicroSD card through the Navionics website which will give more detailed mapping info. As for advanced features, I think the...

I believe it's marked AUX which means it's intended for input. Do you have a 12v socket on the dash? You can buy a high current USB socket plug that will charge your phone quickly. I use one in my vehicle as the USB is also low current and intended for input rather than charging. Mine is a dual...

    '19 AR190 - Zinc Anode - Fresh Water

I think the stock anode is Zinc - you need to have it swapped for Magnesium in fresh water. Note this is only needed for boats wet-slipped in a marina with lots of electrical activity in the water. If you trailer your boat, it's not an issue.

Ram 1500 4x4 Laramie real world payload numbers. The truth hurts.

Regarding tire pressures, remember the door post sticker pressures are for unloaded vehicles with 1 occupant (driver) only. For every 200-400 lbs of weight (people or cargo) you need to increase tire pressures 1 lb. My truck is listed at 33 psi but I run 35 with just the wife and some cargo...

I suppose it would be good on the towers as well to help get bug splats off.

storage door/area cooling solution for amp?

As the others stated, it's fairly open - as long as there is some air to dissipate heat, it shouldn't be an issue. Especially with the Class-D digital amps.

my AR190's custom SeaDek is in!

Is that round flat spot there intentionally for a flag holder?

Perhaps something only a father can laugh at

Yeah it's all funny as far as I'm concerned. ? I have a 23yr old daughter, and right or wrong, we told her anything she wanted to learn, and told her she can always come to us with any issue about anything, math, science, sex, idiot boyfriends, didn't matter. She came out pretty good and is very...

Advice on buying first jet boat

Personally I think in-person experience is the only way for you to really decide. You can ask for suggestions, but those are biased. We really liked the Scarab models when we looked at them online as they have sex appeal and the colour combo options worked for my wife, until we actually sat in...
