    2020 Yamaha 195S Mooring Cover

I agree for the 5 minute drive to my local ramp. But we trailer all over the place, and I like being able to protect the boat from road debris, bugs, rain, etc. when we're trailering 1-2 hours away.

    Battery Question

That's correct Ohm's Law numbers in theory, but the stator current is an unknown value and it's not as simple with AC voltages that are rectified to DC, plus circuit losses. Obviously a larger stator coil with the same voltage output can produce more current, but using basic Ohm's Law...

    Battery Question

Anyone have current ratings for the charging system on these 1.8L engines? I notice you called it a stator, but Yamaha parts list calls it a generator. Same thing basically as an alternator (just placement of rectifier for AC-DC conversion). It doesn't seem right to have a deep cycle marine...

    Spark Plugs for MR1

I don't recommend using "compatible" plugs. While they may fit the threads and have the same length to enter the cylinder and same temp rating, you need to make sure you use iridium plugs as these engines rev high and hot. Totally different running environment from cars that mostly run at...

    2020 Yamaha 195S Mooring Cover

No it won't fit a 2020, the hulls changed in 2019 and this seems to be for older models. I believe this is the one you want: MAR-190TR-BK-19 By factory cover, you mean the white shipping cover? It'll work to keep dust off the boat while in a garage, but you can't use it to trailer as you must...

    NEW 2020 Yamaha 195S Boat

While it will run on 87 or 89 octane, you won't get the optimum performance. As the others have stated, it's a supercharged engine and really should be run with 91 - owner's manual confirms the recommendation.

Need to replace Polk radio on swim deck again; need recommendations please

Ok a table mount is a good idea. Just make sure you add an aluminum plate or similar to spread out the weight and load so the fiberglass doesn't crack. Sorry still can't help with that one.

    195s Lights

Sorry that lettuce just gives us headaches. :wacky:

    195s Lights

Ok good, so it's not just us! ? Here in Canada we can't legally consume alcohol on our boats unless they have a built-in washroom and cooking facilities onboard. So the only place we can drink with our smaller boats is at a dock/restaurant or back in our driveway...

Sotally Tober might be back again (for the third time)...

Can you not ask your dealer to have one transferred to them from the others? A sale is a sale. Also, what's the pole for...dancers? ?

    195s Lights

WHAT??? Don't you party in the boat in your driveway after dark??? ?

    Tips for test drive?

Being new owners, I recommend watching as many youtube videos of boating advice as you can stand. Proper launching and loading makes things easier - we don't power-load (we use dock lines to pull the boat onto the trailer and have years of practice) and we usually beat anyone else out of the...

    195s Lights

Here's an upgrade for you - I've already bought red LED light strips to replace the courtesy lights, the waterproof kind they sell for cars. I figure it should be an easy swap to wire them in and will be much brighter in the same locations and the "right colour" for my wife. ? Yup they are...

Small crack in hull under propeller shaft

If no leak, it's probably a cosmetic crack in the gel coat. It's not an urgent fix, but I'd want to get that fixed up to ensure it doesn't lead to a leak as the fiberglass under the gel coat is not necessarily waterproof. And stop sucking up ropes! ;)

    New 2020 Yamaha 195S

Curious to see what we get with ours...we're freshwater only so we stuck to the nicer looking black painted trailer.

    Factory Reset

I believe the factory reset defaults all settings, erases saved wake speeds, MPG ratings, perhaps radio memories, etc. It doesn't reset the engine hours or similar lifetime numbers. It could fix a technical glitch, and it would be like when you picked up the boat new (except break-in) so any...

    Engine bay??

Ah so where the muffler is located, is behind a suedo-transom wall to the real transom where the drain plugs reside?

Scarab 255 Open ID in River Water

Locks can be a hassle for debris, that's unfortunate but somewhat expected - locks are filthy. ? Twice the MPG though? Unless you go WOT all the time, and they all cruise around, I don't buy that. In fact, Boattest.com has lots of reviews that indicate WOT fuel consumption are actually quite...

Scarab 255 Open ID in River Water

Can't give any experienced advice about jetboating, except that you need to remember a jetboat is like a jetski and the intake is like a vacuum cleaner sucking up water. You have experience on jetskis so that can help guide you. We just bought a 2020 195s and it'll be our first jetboat...

    NE Boat Show

Supply and demand though, so more demand means higher prices. And if manufacturers close up, supply drops which again means higher prices. Consumers are always the losers in this game...
