    ECU Tuning

Are you talking about the naturally aspirated 1.8l engines too? If so, I'm guessing this tune advances spark and requires the octane to retard combustion for proper power stroke?

Ribbon delete in progress on 1052cc -110hp engine

Not me, but based on all the posts about the ribbon delete in this forum from the 1812cc engines without the supercharger, it made a noticeable improvement. Forced air systems are much less affected so the supercharged engines don't need it it deleted.

Ribbon delete in progress on 1052cc -110hp engine

Other guys have reported that they needed to remove any rubber rings to prevent it being sucked in from the powerful vacuum force from the port intakes. They replaced the ribbon with a metal ring to smooth out the airflow. You would need to find out the dimensions for that ring which should help...

    Owners Manuals - Yamaha AR190, AR192, SX190 and SX192

Probably regional models with very slight changes for areas like Europe, US, etc.

Anyone have an idea when the 2020 manuals will be available online?

2015 Yamaha 212 SS Rear exterior speaker size?

Not positive but probably 5.25" - just use a tape measure to check.

Connext GPS has stopped working. Dealer deciding to replace.

Either the dealer's manager or this above would be my choice - front line support and customer service are just following a script on a computer screen, just like any other company where 99% of the questions are easily answered. Once you get past them you get to people who care about your issues.

    Rookie - battery help

Something is wrong if you can't listen to the stock radio system for a few hours. Maybe the battery is defective or wire terminals are not tight? If you turn off the battery with the switch under the seat, there is little need for a charger. If you keep your boat in a slip you need the have the...

    Electrician advise.

It's doable, but I wouldn't want the job. There's a lot of specific requirements for the engines with plugs, and heat issues, wire sizes, insulation requirements, etc. Not to mention the ECM's and throttle sensors, etc. On older carb engines, there's a lot less electronics to worry about. But...

Planning my last big upgrade, a new sound system

Changing amps won't make any difference unless you go to massively more power output or your 8-ch amp is severely under powered. Amp ratings can be all over the place. Cheap amps can claim 50wx4 but that's with unusable distortion levels. In reality, a 50w cheap amp is really only pushing a few...

Fusion RA70NSX Dead After 5 Boating Days!

I think that's a testament to the Fusion products - they're well made . We have one in our boat after the stock radio died several years ago, and have been happy with its performance and features. You must have had a bad one that allowed water past the faceplate seal and inside as I can't really...

    Yamaha Annual Production Figures?

Yeah that's close, but just off a bit. I don't have an solid info, except for known info like you, so total boat production will be more like 32x261 working days = 8,352 per year max. Still sounds like a lot of boats when you think that most boats last 20+ years. I've seen lots of boats in my...

    2019-2020 Yamaha 275SD BoatTest video

Beauty is subjective...I don't care for the large side window borders, hard top, and paddle shifters - the latter being very gimmicky. Some of the features are nice, like the rear lounge, swim seats (they should make those an accessory for all models), etc. But I just can't get past the ugly...

    2016 F150 Trasmission Fluid change at 150,000 miles ?

It's common sense, follow the manual intervals for oil, tranny, transfer, and diff because the manufacturer knows how to take care of their gear under normal or infrequent use. But change early if you're stressing the fluids with heavier than recommended use. If you tow every day or tow near...

Anyone towing with a Jeep Wrangler?

Not enough...you need a Challenger tank to make sure you're safe. Don't want the boat to roll over you during a stop. LOL

2020 195S Build Thread WARNING PIC HEAVY

@Hoyt I'm concerned the amps will not get enough ventilation to stay cool. They don't need a lot, just a bit of air movement to let the heat rise out of the storage compartment.

Stop being so logical, companies don't follow logic. ?

    Let's talk WETSOUNDS

You probably know this, but for the edification of others, when using a sub for the deep bass, always use the HPF or High Pass Filter setting on all other speakers so they get only the freqs from about 80-100Hz and up (depends on setting). It's easier on the speakers and amp at high volumes when...

    NEW 2020 Yamaha 195S Boat

From my reading, 2017 model was the year they got serious about reducing engine and ride noise.

    NEW 2020 Yamaha 195S Boat

This seems to be a common way for them to ensure the pre-outs are not left dangling and causing issues, such as corrosion or noise. They could put rubber boots over them, but instead they do this. I understand Fusion has a pre-out replacement harness that can be ordered so no splicing, just plug...
