Newbie Here Took Delivery of 2016 223 VR
@Scott Potter I pick mine up tomorrow after getting its 10 hour check/oil change. I had issues with the Medallion system but they installed a new one, so fingers crossed. It really takes some getting used to (I've never owned a jet before) but know you will love it. Keep us posted..... and... -
223VR delivered today
Th Our Bimini is the standard one but does provide just enough shade for me... Wife and kids can sun all they want. We've had lots of comments, and yesterday as we were heading out of our cove saw a guy taking pics of us... As we were water rats they had to be of the boat!! -
223VR delivered today
Someone asked about engine pics a while back so I'm posting a few. Still having Medallion issues so dealer is replacing entire head unit this week. Boat running fine, hit about 53mph at 7600 rpm but much prefer cruising around 27mph. -

VRX 243 vs VRX 223 side by side observations
My display froze up again several times today. Let me know if you have any issues. Mine started around the 6 hour mark. Probably just a software glitch. -
223VR delivered today
The seats are high enough and swim platform wide enough that I don't think it possible, or at worst plausible. There is also a drainage groove around the seat that keeps out rain or other water that might come in contact. -

Ditto @Heelz23 . I just picked up my Chaparral with the twin Rotax setup and am not overly concerned about the supercharger rebuild. My dealer said that the 200 hour rebuild period (which forme might be 2-3 years) may be expanded to 300-400 hours, but I can't confirm that. I can say that my...- Vandyman

I didn't press it hard but at 6700rpm it cruises around 42 or so. I did call the dealer today but his technician was busy and I did not call back. Will try tomorrow and advise if I learn anything useful. I am 99% certain a simple linkage adjustment will fix the forward control. -

Okay.... here is a video (link on YouTube at ). Not very good (1st time I've used my GoPro) but at least it may show how stable the ride is. Light chop and a slight wake crossing, but the ride is quite good. The engine noise is there but I think the wind and GoPro case may have muffled it... -

@fairpilot Reverse and docking are a breeze after about 20 minutes practicing, the first thing I did! A slight turn of the wheel can make a huge difference, but again after one day I feel like a pro. At idle she seems to edge forward just a bit, but a slight pull into reverse and she sits... -

We did!! Successful launch and weekend. Only put about 2 1/2 hours on her but will provide initial good, bad, and ugly. First, there was no ugly, and really no bad. The engine noise is moderate... About the same as in my old boat. I could easily talk to those in back at 30mph and they said not... -

@OrangeTJ I tried to negotiate the pricing but was not successful (I had the same response from the Yamaha folks too). I was able to get some accessories and a higher trade in value, but was told the actual price was non negotiable. Based on other boats I considered, I think the price was ok. -

@BobJohnson I picked her up today and it is a standard 5 pin flat connector. The trailer pulls beautifully (compared to my old 23 footer), but I know the water is where it counts. @OrangeTJ I hope (weather permitting) to get her on the water this weekend and will let you know. It appears... -

The First Trip
Awesome video... know how excited you must be. My VRX arrives Thursday and I can't wait to get it out (but will have to wait a week or two due to travel plans). Were your issues with the Rotax engines or something else? Also, what Gopro settings did you use.... I may try the same video format...- Vandyman
