    bimini emergency

Glad the folks made it back in one piece and that it seems everyone is ok, now for the engine diagnosis. Quick dumb question, didn't want to start a new thread. When running on one engine you should clamp the cooling line of the engine that isn't running correct? Just like towing? I assume...

Aux Battery Low - 1 year old battery

On the X series we also have the solar chargers, not sure if that makes a difference but I know from experience it does charge the batteries to some extent.

    Can you believe it???

Un-freaking-believable. I am guessing 12 - 16 year old boys who think it's funny..... Glad you got the boat back, that could have been much worse, like boat wash ashore and bashing against some rocks or something....

Different product to clean vinyl seats

@scokill, do you use simple green often? Is that too powerfull? I would expect most cleaners would remove whatever protectant is on the seats. I would expect that every time you clean you have to reapply protectant....

Proud owner of new SX190 2018

I would consider that roller to be a shipping roller and it is near worthless and could actually scratch your boat. Mine did not roll at all, and it isn't the rolling part that bothered me, it was the material it was made out of. Get the stoltz roller, it's a cheap investment. As for...

The not going to Bimini thread

I would love to go Bimini and it might become a reality one of these years, but as others have said, the trip from my part of the country would be a killer. 1500 miles one way getting probably 8 miles per gallon, gas is close to 3 bucks a gallon, that's 1200 in gas for a round trip. Add in the...

    SENTRY FENDERS

very nice looking and functioning fender, I like how the dock line goes through the center and I also like I easily they attach, you don't have to worry about height.. I think they would be worth the investment if you are constantly tying fenders to dock. I don't use them that often so they...

    Got a new boat!!!

replace the bow roller, simple to do and cheap. They should list the bow roller on the trailer as a shipping bow roller to alert users to change it. Mine was so smashed from the factory that it was obvious I needed to change it.

    Owners Manuals - Yamaha AR240, SX240 and 242 Limited / S

This site sells them for $75, wish they would sell the electronic manual for $75 and not offer it has a yearly subscription. https://www.yamahapubs.com/

    Stern "beaching" setups

For those using shore spikes, do you hammer them in or just push with your hands? I am thinking about the spike from west marine for 40 bucks.

    Fiberglass Damage

I have no idea how that happened, and it does seem like a weird spot. I have the bow filler cushions in a lot, and recently I had my daughter with 3 of her friends out and they were all bounding around in the front. Seems like something heavy smashed it, oh well. Hesitant to fix it myself as...

    242xe subwoofer rattle

@Julian, probably, I stuck my finger behind it to tighten the pad and it mostly stopped the rattle. I was thinking of loosening the pad and putting in some sort of shim and then tightening it back down on the shim. If I can't really get to the screws, I can force a shim in there I guess.
