    Travelling advice in Los Angeles

Sorry I'm late to the party - as usual, I hope you found accommodations you like. I would have suggested the south bay area personally since I live in Redondo Beach and am familiar with what it has to offer. There are a number of trendy boutique hotels in Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo that...

I got both parts at Greatlakesskipper.com Thanks to @Bruce for the lead! If it stops raining I may just mount it today.

    Table Leg Replacement

Thanks for spending my money guys....I was thinking about adding one of these to the rear "patio" to accommodate the grill - the center mounted table on my boat gets in the way of boarding. I found the bracket AND the leg for a grand total of 60 bucks and change...SHIPPED! So now we've got 3...

    Fiberglass and Gelcoat repair

As usual, Murph covered this appropriately. The KeelShield is a great way to protect the boat. I've had similar damage and kicked myself for not installing one sooner. I just towed the boat home to get some pre-season repairs done and I have a few scrapes to clean up as well.

Gel Coat and possible trailer issue??

Typical for these boats to wear at that location on the hull, especially with plastic bunk boards or worn carpeted boards. I agree with the guys, it's a bad repair job losing adhesion. Question is, what's under the bunks? That boat should go on a hoist or jack stands and be inspected. Sand it...

    Small cracks in clear coat

Frankly, from what I can see, I would have polished that out after pulling the boat that day. The fine cracks can be filled with http://www.magicezy.com/ https://jetboaters.net/threads/hairline-cracks-spider-cracks.1590/ I carry a tube and have slowly but surely gotten around to all the little...

    Don't Do This.....

Wow, that sounds like something out of a bad dream. This guy was one of several - just thrill seekers, not expecting this to happen. They have a rope off to the side that my kids have swung off of many times....but certainly not 80 feet up. More like 8 from the bottom of the rope swing.

    Don't Do This.....

Sad situation on the Colorado River this past weekend. A 20 yr old man jumped off the railraod bridge at Topock - where the I40 crosses the river. It happens a lot. Typically not a very big deal. This, however, was heartbreaking for those involved. He didn't look before he lept and ended up...

    New yamaha owner in AZ

Had an awesome day on Saturday. The weather was perfect and the water was amazing. The water was a brisk 61 degrees at the base of the dam.....yes, I dove right in when we got to the limit line....amazing how fast you can jump on the swimstep when properly motivated

    Scratch Repair Opinion

I can't tell, but I think you are right. It may be too slight for the paste to work properly. A better approach would be to get gel coat, thin it and spray it on with an airbrush. That way you won't sand off too much material going the other route. It MAY be so slight that a little wet sanding -...

Good results using Mary Kate Ultra Vinyl Cleaner

Thanks for the reminder....I took the cover off last time out and noticed that a ski vest had been left on the rear seat....and the color from one of the rubber parts transferred to the cushion! I was not happy. After all these years, a nasty ol stain. I just won't come out. I even tried...

    Trim Tabs

I just went and took a look at the site.....it has changed considerably since I made my purchase. I can't seem to find any reviews or testimonials. Too bad, that was one of the better features. I found the tabs under Classic Hydraulic Trim Tab Systems....rememeber, I did the install over 10...
