By Popular Demand--New Trophy for Sucking up a rope!

Fortunately, I've lost all recollection of ever having done that.

How do you BIG stereo guys power them?

Um...use a generator. Honda makes nice little quiet generators that will do the trick. :)

    Starter #3

30? You're too kind.....did King Tut have a boat? Man oh man, have you checked the bilge pump lately? How the heck does that happen? My boat is an '04 and I can eat off the engines....oh well, at least you know what to do.

    Battery question

I think you'll be just fine with that. Although I am wired for a dual battery set-up, I've been running a single group 27 deep cycle from Costco for the last couple of years and it has been flawless. When it dies I'll take advantage of the very liberal return/ exchange policy. I have a couple of...

Holy crap this thing is fast

I hear you @Julian , I grumble about top speed from time to time myself, this was a change for me and put things in a different light. All I'm sayin' is that going fast isn't what these boats were made for. They were made for making memories with friends and family - and at that they can't be...

Holy crap this thing is fast

Oh quit yer bitchin' dammit! Last time out I was concentrating on going slow....or as slow/fast as I could go and still maintain a comfortable ride for my daughter. To make a long story short, she was in one helluva car wreck while heading back up to the university where she is teaching. Ran...

Gel Coat Repair with Spectrum Color Match

Late to the party....as usual. Glad you got that void fixed under warranty @Mtschelling  @swatski , the Spectrum stuff is pretty good. I made a repair to my son in law's Malibu at the end of last season and he couldn't find it when he picked the boat up last month. I almost convinced him...

    engine hatch cover

Howdy @DWWilson , if you can't find one then you are faced with building one. If it were me, I'd start with an appropriate size slab of foam and sculpt it to shape on the boat. Once you have it sized and shaped to your liking you sand it smooth and apply several coats of sandable primer -...

    New 2016 AR240!!! Love It!

@Adam Abreu , welcome to the site and congrats on the great new boat. If you ever wander west to Havasu you'll see a bunch of Yammies running up and down and all over. Have fun and be safe! :winkingthumbsup"

A Great Product to Clean the Boat Hull

@txav8r there are exceptions to every rule...and that, my friend, is exceptional! No way would I tackle something the size of your rig on a regular basis. maybe once just to say I did and I'd gladly shell out a fistful of Benjamins to get the job done right. I don't detail our toyhauler all...

    Favorite Summer Beer?

A bit off topic, but what else is new....I took the kids out to dinner on the pier the other night and they discovered the Moscow Mule. Complete with copper mug and fresh ginger. I was informed that it's going to be the new summer drink for this year. It better be, we now have 6 copper mugs at...

A Great Product to Clean the Boat Hull

Yes, the dish soap will strip off the wax you worked so hard to apply and buff. You can use it and should use it when you need to strip the wax, or say, when you decide to use a product like Rejex or maybe you plan on burning a bazillion calories while clay-baring the whole boat  I...

    Help with attachments to fiberglass

3M 5200 makes an excellent bond, be sure to sand the surface you want to adhere to and wipe with acetone first. Once set, whatever you have bonded will likely live there for the life of the boat. Works great for locations on the interior side of the hull.

Using a buffer on black hulls?

I think it's more of "Should" he use a buffer at all..... According to their website, RejeX should be wiped on, allowed to dry for 10-20 minutes until it forms a haze, wiped off, then allowed to cure for 8-12 hours (depending on the humidity). After RejeX dries to a haze (about 10-20 minutes)...

    Weed ingestion on Lake Havasu

OK, cool. So you did make it up there. If you had kept going you would pass through Needles and then it's a few miles up river to the Avi Casino and then on down through Bullhead, AZ and finally Laughlin, NV. - that's where the London Bridge jet-boat to Havasu starts out from. It's a pleasant...

    Weed ingestion on Lake Havasu

You could be referring to the large patches that are located at the mouth of the Colorado where it meets the lake. That area is easy to bypass, once past it, it's smooth sailing. You won't have much issue with weeds or grass unless you want to venture into the little pockets of water hidden...

Scarab has been a huge dissapointment

@ScarabMike Welcome to the club...my Yamaha was delivered to my storage yard and I never looked back. I can't remember the last time I took any of my vehicles back to the dealer for service. Either it was a long time ago or that CRS is getting worse  I'm a bit late to this thread...
