    I have an sx190 and it does get beat up in rougher water, a bigger boat would handle the chip even better. That being said, I've never felt unsafe in my 19ft. We boat the Bay around here and on smooth days venture into the gulf (stay close to shows). People have taken 19ft jet boats to Bimini...

    Yamaha AR190

    Break in period is 10 hrs... It's described in the owner's manual. No need to drain fuel or do anything special in the off season. Add stabil to the fuel and you'll be fine. Very little maintenance on these boats

    I always start the boat up at home before heading anywhere, even if I don't run it on the hose, I'll at least crank it and let it run for a few seconds... Checks the battery and random things like your lanyard issue before getting the boat launched

    Fluke style anchor has never let me down, with 6ft of chain . Make sure you have enough rode out when anchoring and pull the fluke until it digs into the sand.

    We were there yesterday and it was already crowded, had to go down past bama breeze pier and eventually found an open spot with white sand bottom... Parking in the summer is always rough around there. There's a third pier at Shell island, down the island closer to where the West pass used to...
