    2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

While I am thinking about it, I have never left my boat wet slipped. If bad weather pops up while we are in bimini, does anyone use the mooring cover while the boat is in the water overnight? I'm not sure if it is even possible but I worry about salt water ruining the ratchets on an $800 cover...

    2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

@seanmclean: Looks like the Yeti 110 lid length is roughly 2" longer and width is 2" shorter. I imagine you could make the seadek work with a little trimming? EDIT: I see they do custom seadek cooler pads, I am going to contact their customer service.

@Shannon: Lauren and I can make April 21st work. Just PM me the details when you have them. Fingers crossed it will be as warm and sunny as next weekend is supposed to be.

Video - Test Results - Cobra Jet vs Jet Boat Pilot

@Foobar , thank you for taking the time to video review both products and share it with the Jetboaters community. Personally, I went with the Cobra Jet Steering Magnum AK with Mega Fangs from Jeff. Although I agree with almost everything with this video review, I will say that what Jeff saves...

    2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

If anyone is busy acquiring necessities for the Bimini trip, like myself, I just wanted to give you a heads up that RTIC Coolers (off brand Yeti style) are on sale currently. I guess they declared a price war on the competition, making them roughly half the price of a Yeti. I managed to snag a...

    2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

Thanks for the heads up Bruce and @Julian , that makes my lady and I a little less anxious. Hard to tell what you're going to get when booking over the phone.

    2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

Changed our room to 21M (1bd w/loft) because we had some friends cancel on us. On a positive note, anyone looking for a 2 bedroom with loft, ocean front, 21I is available.

Does anyone use the newer explorers to tow a 24ft jetboat

I guess I should update that I never did trade to a full size truck. My Duramax Canyon actually handles the load of a 24' a lot better than I made it seem. However, I am making several upgrades to improve towing performance. I have opted for an Add-A-Leaf which gives the truck about 750lbs more...

Dry Tortugas National Park/ Key West

Thank you for the insight gents. I also appreciate the link to Isaac’s video, I am sold on the keys, not so much making a run to the Dry Tortugas. Maybe I will save that trip for another time. Thanks again!

Dry Tortugas National Park/ Key West

That is something I would be very worried about. 140 miles is quite a run without gas stops between. I don’t believe I am experienced enough to attempt this trip at all; much less alone. Plus losing contact with USCG would worry me too. Just curious if it had been done or if it is definetely a...

What type of Gas are you running in your boat?

Cheapest gas available and Marine stabil for every fill up. It is still cheaper than mid-grade and makes me feel better about being cheap.

Dry Tortugas National Park/ Key West

Have any of y’all made the run from Key West to Fort Jefferson (Dry Tortugas National Park) on your Jet Boat? It is roughly 70 miles, one way. I am trying to plan a trip with my lady, for when I return from the deployment I am currently on, in mid February. The only thing I can think about is...

Not to hijack the thread but how do you have your GO9 mounted? I was looking at one of those today. Thanks.
