    Whole Boat LED install

I did all the wiring and LED installation, but I need to give credit to @Cory who cut the plexiglass rings for me while I held his beer :winkingthumbsup" I'm pretty much a complete DIY-guy, but its not because I'm very good at it. I'm a a classic Jack-of-all-trades and Master of NONE. I...

AR 230 5 Dollar Bimini Mod ( Maybe can adapt to other models ) Finished mod and final results.

Same here! Also leaning over the windshield to clip it is tough for us tall guys and almost impossible for the female first mates. This new location looks so much better than the factory location I'm already thinking about ways to do this without having to go buy a tig welder

    Battery Switch in glove box?

The battery master switch is primarily a SAFETY item, not a convenience item. In case of a hazardous electrical malfunction, you need a quick method to disconnect all electrical power at (or near) the batteries. Thus, the battery master switch should be mounted very near the battery so all...

    loosing your trailer lockout key?

It must have changed in newer yeas because mine DEFINITEY locks in either postion and does not re-set when pulling forward. I suspect they changed it to re-set each time as a safety feature since people tend to forget that sort of thing. Its all controlled by notches around the cutout hole...

Connect Power (Red) from Amplifier directly to House Battery or Dual Battery Switch?

Ahhh yes I initially read it wrong. Now I see you have the same setup as I do. Which, of course, I agree is the right way to do it! :winkingthumbsup"

Connect Power (Red) from Amplifier directly to House Battery or Dual Battery Switch?

I'm not certain from your description, but.... If your amp positive is connected to the post of the switch that also goes to the house battery then that is electrically the same as going directly to the battery and you aren't isolating the battery from the amp when the switch is off. See...

    Home internet providers....wireless "G"....really?

I understand the need/desire for faster speed on your LAN, both wired and wireless. I can only get 3Mb DSL where I live :( but I still have my own beam-forming 802.11ac high-speed router with gigabit wired Ethernet for local access to my local file/media servers. :) That data does not go...

    Home internet providers....wireless "G"....really?

not sure I understand the problem. If your DSL is 6Mbps (or even 18Mbps if you're very very lucky), whats wrong with the ISP providing a 54Mbps Access Point? I'm stuck with DSL where I live. My issue is much more with the slower wired DSL speed than the Wireless AP speed. If I had an...

Drifting While In Neutral - Question

Frankly I rarely have a need to idle the engines in neutral. I just kill the engines. Thats my neutral. ;)

    Broken intake grates

How do you figure that? I don't believe they are intended to be a sacrificial part.

    Why no Catamaran Jet boat?

I often wonder why there is no jet powered pontoon. Not for speed but for safety. Most pontoons are family oriented slow cruisers with kids of all ages jumping off and swimming all around. Propless propulstion would sure be nice. Since our boats have essentially jet-ski engines, how hard...

    Help - missing gelcoat

I feel the same way. When I first purchased my keel guard, it sat in the box for a whole season because I thought it would be a lot of work. But when I finally did it myself it turned out to be much easier than I thought. There is no way I'd pay somebody $650 to do it.

Drifting While In Neutral - Question

They should not be completely over the jet. That would be REVERSE. In the neutral position, they should be about 50/50, but some tweeking is needed to adjust the bucket so that forward and reverse thrust are equal and cancel each other out.
