    Done with Yamaha.

What's the issue with the bimini? I understand it has holes, but is there any clue as to what caused them?

Got a violation alert from my marina!

Wait until you move to a neighborhood with an HOA.

    Done with Yamaha.

I didn't mean to attribute those words to you, but I meant it more just in general to those using the internet to make a decision. It's a powerful tool but you've got to understand how to filter and decipher because there is endless information to support any conclusion you can think of on...

    Done with Yamaha.

Yamaha has low engine maintenance or at least easy engine maintenance. They lack in other areas. This is the internet though there is not a single vehicle manufacturer that doesn't have someone on the internet that hates them.

    Done with Yamaha.

Bummer. Not sure about the holes in the top, maybe insects? Buy whatever boat you chose from someone closer to you, or at least open on Saturdays. Not that Yamaha shouldn't be better, but needing warranty work is common across other manufacturers as well.

Snap in Sea Deck Mat from 2018 212 Limited S

Not sure but I would think you could easily remove/replace the snaps if they didn't line up.

Water in gas from stations on the water- myth or reality

I don't think it matters. On land or water I think it's possible for the tanks to become contaminated. On land is a lot cheaper. Aren't marina fuel storage tanks located on land even if the pump is on the water?

Yamaha Extended Warranty Do I need?

I think that's too high, but my general thought on the warranties wouldn't necessarily be to dismiss. Yes they are money makers, but so is everything else or it's not on the market long. You are likely not going to come out ahead on it no matter what the price. It's insurance

    Swimming Flag????

I've only seen a divers flag deployed once when I was a kid. My dad told me what it was. It makes sense for divers/snorklers although north Texas lakes don't have much of either. The only swimmers flag I've seen is in some marketing material for boats. I just stay clear of anchored boats and...

Texas law requires safety lanyard use

I was completely oblivious to this. I likely won't remember to wear it, hopefully I remember the next time I'm stopped for an inspection. Seems like it will be tough to enforce though. I can't believe that 26 of 29 boating deaths could have been prevented by this. I'm guessing drownings...

    Moving from a 2013 212x to a 24 footer...thoughts

If you look at the overhead pics, the 24' boats extra space is all in the bow. Just keep that in mind as it may not feel as roomy as you hoped. The bow is great seating for kids, but I don't think it's comfortable for adults unless they can stretch out their legs.

I want to add the swim deck seats from the 27’ Yamahas to my boat but ...

I'd only be interested if they were retractable.

    2020 model information leaks

May want to change the tread title as not to confuse it with the inevitable 2020 model year water leaks thread. :p

    Will a 2019 sx210 or 212 limited fit into a 7 foot tall garage?

You should be able to get it in an 8' opening by just adjusting the tower retention cables. I doubt it will go in stock though.

    2020 model information leaks

Would be nice but they'd also just add 8k to the price tag.

I find the carpet too hot

I don't mind the carpet. I haven't noticed it being too hot and I'm in the Texas sun. I have the bimini deployed the entire time though. I take it out after every outing to dry so it doesn't mildew. That is kind of a pain, and that would be the main reason I'd upgrade to something like seadek.

I find the carpet too hot

Going bare is going to reflect a lot of sun right back at the occupants. I'd definitely put something down.

    Will a 2019 sx210 or 212 limited fit into a 7 foot tall garage?

No I don't do the caster mod. You could put a caster on the tongue and get some more room but I think that just gets you a few inches and not a foot. You'd probably need to do something with the tires to get it that low. That might be fine when putting it up for the winter, but I complete...

    Will a 2019 sx210 or 212 limited fit into a 7 foot tall garage?

I don't think so. Someone has probably done it but the routine to do so would be quite cumbersome. My AR210 barely fits in an 8' opening and there isn't another foot of clearance between the windshield and the opening.
