I did talk to someone at days inn and was told they were full up. We ended up leaving page at 6:am. It was sad to be so close and drive by. Perhaps another vacation someday dedicated to lake powell and hook up with some other Jetboaters. Moose pre planned this and will be there for a few...- Majorsmackdown

We're here but it's midnight and no hotels. Ooof. Not sure how this will turn out. The Grand Canyon and meteor crater were worth the detour in my mind. We are trying to see lake powell but timing sux. Showing up uninvited on Friday night not so good.- Majorsmackdown

Boating in florida was on my bucket list for years. Then I found the bimini trip. We have boated in many places and enjoy the bimini trip most. Its not just the location but the entirety of it all.- Majorsmackdown

Mrs Smackdown is voting no. It's almost as bad as a veto. :( But we've never laid eyes on the Grand Canyon and look forward to it. We're afraid lake powell might be a letdown after bimini. :)- Majorsmackdown

We had an awesome crossing. Stopped for about 10 mid way for a swim. I always wanted to do that and I know @Glen did too. We ran upper 30's most of the way. Nothing new broke as far as I know. :)- Majorsmackdown

My 2 cents. My '16 model holds a fluke anchor nicely and I got the fortress fx7 because its super light. It can safely be kept in the anchor locker in my particular boat. It also hooked nicely everywhere I tried. But we didn't have any heavy winds this year.- Majorsmackdown

I wondered the same thing....?? Folks say the shipping cover doesn't last - but it's softer than the 'premium' cover. 1. Could you put the premium cover over the shipping cover for long hauls ? Maybe a big hassle. 2. Drive slower ? 65 helped a lot I think. 3. If you drove through...- Majorsmackdown
