Those crazy b*stards at Ram actually did it

Yep. Other than complexity and price is truly the best of both worlds. I chose the volt last time for the same reason. Battery when you can, and gas for the rest of the time.

That's totally OK, but having had one for years I assure you there is a preference by many ev buyers to not go to the gas station if they can help it . Just like a "fast charge" for a gas car takes 4 minutes at the gas station vs 30+ for an electric car. Some electric drivers may tell you they...

    Help for identifying a boat

Is there a reference to a serian number or HIN (hull identification number) in the paperwork? or in the stern of the boat anywhere?

I went electric in 2013 because it was cheaper. I got a nice $20K (USED Leaf) 4 seater car than ran almost for free compared to the cost of fuel at the time, and maintenance on the car was zero at the time. That car by the way is still running for its new owner with still zero maintenance costs...

So, the discussion was bout the engine running at low RPM to recharge. What I meant to say is that all else being equal, RPM and displacement are related to the power output by similar magnitude. (more of either, more power)So if a similar displacement engine with similar technology goes 200hp...

With hp being displacement times RPM... You leave a lot of power at the table if you don't rev it up. In the volt, when more power is needed, it was quite noticable, just like a gas engine. I would not expect very low RPM. It will rev up for sure. 3600 At least. Some of the time.

Lifetime!! That's awesome. I have had 2 types with warranty for pots. Stainless for the life of the original buyer. For non stick, the life of the pot... It's peeling... End of life, sorry it's dead, no more warranty. Do you know what kind you have?

    Here come the hybrids

The Leaf is the electric Camry... The Tesla is now like the electric Hyunday of late 90s+. Hopefully in the same trajectory, starting with some big challenges in build quality while ramping up. I'm really hoping the build quality has caught up with the extra volume built, now that they have...

Grand Wagoneer can be had for 120k well optioned. How much will this thing cost, and how reliable will it be? The idea is awesome, the feature set amazing, but the price!!! Bets on cheapest available in first 12 months? At least $90k. And, not for me at that price, but awesome that more...

Other than the big chassis in one piece? I think they do make a few things.

    Here come the hybrids

What I'm surprised that has not happened yet is consolidation around a battery standard all the fring players could join. Nissan or Hyunday or Tesla could offer the skate/plans for a fee, and you have more volume to the same platform, for less. Nissan was first with a mass car with the Leaf...

    Here come the hybrids

You say cheap and ugly, I say sparse and with great visibility. It's all relative. Back on point... It's what I was saying earlier. At the current price points, new EV offerings that are not moving are not at the right price to sell

My dad has had nothing but Explorers since 1992, counting the mazda Navajo, which was a rebadged explorer.

I think they need the second motor to make that amount of power. Also, no room under the car for a shaft to move the power to the other axle.

I had my choice between the rav4 and the tesla. It was not close for me. Tesla is FAST and drives amazing. It might not be your choice, but for others it's not even close. I suspect every model Y buyer is making a similar choice.

    Here come the hybrids

Dealers are having a hard time selling EVs because the prices have not caught up to the economy of scales of gas cars, hence EVs are much more expensive compared out the door, although in theory their lower complexity should result in an eventual price advantage to EVs. Leaf is $8k-$15k more...

    Marina Winterize Services

I guess it works for them, but even for a fee it would be worthwhile to have an option to work on it there. Sorry that's not the case.

    New member, new Switch owner

Very little is known about these on the board, I've seen already 2 or 3 out " in the wild". How fast have you gotten it to go? How does it handle? what kind of seas have you seen in it? What do you like about it the most? Congratulations on the new boat!
