    Clogged cooling line (pissers)

I agree with the above, the zip tie approach has had 100% success rate for me.

    Bought a Harbor Freight Trailer

Right, Title not needed, just keep the certificate of origin and create a bill of sale if you ever sell it. You may not get a title in many states with a "light" trailer, but you will hopefully get a plate and registration from DMV so it will be road legal. Don't sweat the fact that they won't...

    Clogged cooling line (pissers)

A set goes to the exhaust, the other goes to the thermostat housing.

Scarab 165 HOI tower warning label

I wonder if you can rig something known to give at a certain load? say it pulls over 400 Lbs...snap, the 6 tie wraps/250 lb fishing line broke and all is well. Just a thought... something like a fuse for towing.

Water coming into engine compartment under power. See pics.

It is a painful job to replace all those rusted clamps. The tabs rust and break off, and they can't be removed easily at all. I would not do it for $50 a clamp if I had a choice. it was that bad for me. I would suggest you attack as a fun project in the off season if you want to replace them...

    Here come the hybrids

https://electrek.co/2024/05/22/byds-10000-seagull-ev-worrying-rivals-hits-new-markets/ I mentioned this was coming in page 5 of the thread. I think with the current state of foreign affairs the argument could be made to block such cars from the US market... But they are starting to come to life.

    Steering cable replacement

Do you have the new cable on hand? Compare to it. I found a steel tube that was larger than the black cable and smaller than the nut on the metal fitting in the end, placed the tube over the backed out nut, and whacked it many times with a 20 pound anchor, and it finally gave. I tried many...

    Battery/ bilge pump video

If you are in your own slip no harm in adding shore power and maybe a loud bilge alarm. It's one thing if you are on the boat and can take action, and another if the boat is unattended.

    Steering cable replacement

Mine was really stuck on there. I had to use a long tube and a 20lbs weight to whack on it to get it to move. Since yours is much newer hopefully it will be more compliant. Best of luck.

    It's alive...sort of. 2004 AR230 resurrection

Too bad the pump part didn't work, we'll need to file that for the future. Glad it's running!!!

    DIY Steering Cable Luber

It's worth a try to extend the life if you are in a pinch, but the difference is night and day, the new cables are an awesome investment. Look for the cable from the cable manufacturer per this thread to get them for a better price.

    Helm is done...

Love it. Very nice. I ended up with a analog gauge but GPS powered for speed. https://www.hodgesmarine.com/far33749-faria-chesepeake-black-ss-4-studded-speedometer.html?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2a6wBhCVARIsABPeH1v-0ZDHJ_qHcm-_2tyiIgjL6JhSO676O6oEXgnzkE_hahHB6eQZ1toaApUdEALw_wcB

YES Warranty parts and repair delays

I'm so sorry to hear. At some point you may want to evaluate if it's truly worthwhile to continue to pursue this. In some cases warranties are worth the paper they are printed on, and no more. Repair costs endless weeks of lost use is borderline ridiculous for "value" of the warranty even at...

    Hot Restart Issue.

Our older throttle mechanism had a button at the base of the lever to increase rpm while on neutral and it would still crank. Probably things have changed.

    Hot Restart Issue.

I am curious if trying to start with wide open throttle for a few seconds helps... Followed by normal start. My theory is that there may be a slow fuel leak from injectors, and allowing the engine to crank at full throttle would move enough air to fix the mixture. Just a thought.

Adjusting TPS, and/or removing throttle body

Best way to gain knowledge is through others mistakes. Less good way is through (our) own mistakes.

Adjusting TPS, and/or removing throttle body

They were not loose, but when the head was replaced last year the tps sensor was reinstalled just slightly off spec. One thing to keep in mind, as you may bump the key to wake up YDS as you are adjusting, mind the fuel hose, which should be reconnected to the throttle body or plugged some other...

Adjusting TPS, and/or removing throttle body

Thanks for all the tips. Mischief managed. Fuel line removed, maf connector, tps connector and air bypass electrical connector removed, then 4 bolts for the flame arrestor, the 8 bolts for the throttle body, and a little jiggling to get it loose, lift the back and pull out fuel rail inlet of...

Adjusting TPS, and/or removing throttle body

Lol, I was considering that option also. Do you recall a trick to disconnecting the connector in place? I tried to disconnect from the harness while the tps is attached and I could not.
