    Family Vacation Poll

Interesting question but not one one that I can answer easily since there isn't a 'one or some of all of the above' option. Honestly, it varies so much with where/when/how and with who we're going. We have cards that give us reward points and like some others have said we run a lot of everyday...

Is it ok to store my boat like this?

Much better for the nozzles IMO but one question that comes to mind with the boat 'leaning' forward: how waterproof/watertight is your cover? I know your boat isn't that old and cover looks in great shape but I foud that even when we got a new cover it needs fairly regular waterproofing. I'd...

Is it ok to store my boat like this?

@Quad, OP mentioned it's salt water - a whole different kettle than lake water though there have been a *lot* of posts here from folks running into grief by wet slipping all season even on lakes. I guess in the end it depends on the water quality - salt or lake.

Large breast tips for life vests and rash guard tops

Before you rush out and get something, keep an eye out for sales... I’ve seen the inflatable ones at 50% off often at West Marine. Do keep in cmind that they have a cartridge that needs to be replaced occasionally. Not a big expense but... Also, note that there are there types - off shore...

How best to celebrate New Year’s 2021. Good stuff or cheap stuff?

Some debate going on in our house and with friends... thought I’d throw it out to the forum. Regardless of your answer, Happy New Year and best wishes for a healthy 2021.

Black Friday boat deals and water sports gear

FWIW, Airhead is having a sale but SO much of their stuff is out of stock - and has been for most of this crazy summer. Sale Almost didn't post this but there are a LOT of parts on sale (like tube bladders etc.) that might be of interest to some here for that tube that has a slow leak etc.

    Loctite 572 substitute

Folks, premise this by saying that since I'm goofing off at work I just skimmed this thread but I called Permatex with a similar question (what's the difference between Permatex and Loctite - other than price!) when I replaced the thermostat and the recommended Loctite option was an expensive...

    New owner. Pulling out procedures?

*** @Ibeflyinhigh, just to clarify, that would be 5 or 10 seconds BTW, not minutes. Big fan of flushing with a hose every time BTW. Not just in salt water (but essential there IMO). Gets any crap out for sure.

    Hours vs gas used estimation

FWIW, 2012 *has* hours, to the decimal, per engine. Yeah, you have to scroll through the display. Blip the ignition and the gauges come on. Push the black rubber buttons to scroll through the options. NOTE: if the engine's not running the gauges only stay on for about 30 seconds and that may...

    Coronavirus

Work's been nuts these past couple of weeks so I've lost track of this thread so I don't know if there's a link to this on the previous pages... This is from The Atlantic: This Overlooked Variable Is the Key to the Pandemic About possible reasons why some places were hit so much harder than...

Push to unlock button on plugs

I've never really looked at just the button... I wonder if your local hardware store has a knob that would fit? (I probably wouldn't even bother with a Home Depot or Lowes but start at a local Ace or Home...?) If it came off, I'm guessing there's just a thread under it? (Pretty sure everyone...

Impeller locked up and shredding ring

Um.... salt water? (Most of us in salt water take it out and religiously flush everything after every use. The most I've ever heard of anyone leaving in salt water is a week... Sorry.)

2011 Yamaha AR240 High pitch Alarm sounds each time engines are started

Mine has always done it - never questioned it since I suspected it was just confirmation that the alarm is working. Kinda' like when you start a car and all the idiot lights come on as you turn the ignition. Confirmation that the bulbs etc. are all still there.
