    Auto Bilge and boat lifts

For whatever this opinion is worth, pull the drain plugs out. Like all boats, the boat is a bucket, and you're filling it up with rain water. Also, depending on your lift set-up, you can always call the LIFT guys and have them pitch the lift for you. The drain plugs are the easiest thing to...

Another Disappointment with the Scarab Jet Boat and REC Boat Holdings

Well, do it before the warranty is up big guy!

Another Disappointment with the Scarab Jet Boat and REC Boat Holdings

Have them pull that cat out and dissassemble it. If the flange lips are all corroded, the dealer will have to make the warranty claim thru BRP. They will send the updated BLACK cat out for replacement.

Coolant in engine bay after winter

You wont get it hot enough on a garden hose for pressure. Check all of your hose clamps especially the lowest one going into the thermostat holder (housing) on the back of your motor. They will rust and leak. Worse case scenario, the coolant is leaking out from the weap hole on right side...

    Should I Pull the Trigger

BRP has been discontinuing a lot of parts over the past couple of years. People are still servicing them though. Our store doesn't service anything past 2004. Also, since Scarab is selling boats now with the BRP engines, that is another reason for the parts loss. They (BRP)are moving on.

2014 Scarab 215 - Port engineruns rough/Chk Engine Light on

When I had my store in Illinois, we always fogged engines for storage. Try the plugs first and let us know here.

2014 Scarab 215 - Port engineruns rough/Chk Engine Light on

Well, when the plugs sit over time during winter with different temps going up and down causing condensation, your plugs are actually getting corrosion built up. And, if the guy who did the winterization fogged your engine,..your plugs are about ready for the dumpster since they are more than...

07 Challenger 180se wont go all the way into forward.

replace the cable, it sounds like you man-handled the lever so bad that you bent the cable under the shift lever, not allowing it to move freely to extend or retract the cable. The cable was bad in the first place if the reverse gate works freely.

    Need to replace steering cable

That is the toughest one to do. You will need an 02 sensor socket that has a slit in it to go around the cable to un-loosen the nut. Cut the cable in half, it will make it easier to remove. I believe there is a nut on the back side in the hull,..you should be able to just leave it since that...

2014 Scarab 215 - Port engineruns rough/Chk Engine Light on

Since you opened it up,...did you summarize it? Fouled plugs in other words from winterizing. Always replace the spark plugs for the new season.

Where to install in hull transducer on Scarab 165?

Look in your engine compartment and compare this picture. Please look for the wiring harness by the gas tanks filler neck for the Gray connector. The transducer mounts just under the exhaust manifold and plugs directly into that Gray connector once you pull the cover off attached to it...

Where to install in hull transducer on Scarab 165?

Why dont you just use the one from Scarab?? You can buy one and it is a direct plug and play. No drilling required, and it mounts on tbe floor of the hull in your engine compartment on the passenger side, just under the exhaust manifold.

Another Disappointment with the Scarab Jet Boat and REC Boat Holdings

Scarab has two 02 sensors. See pictures to back up my piss poor information. In the South or in Salt water conditions, the silver Catalytics have been corroding internally and leaking. BRP has been replacing the Cats for people since the corrosion and leaks have been eating up O2 sensors over...

Another Disappointment with the Scarab Jet Boat and REC Boat Holdings

PapaBear, if you've lost that many '02 sensors,...it's because your cat is bad. It's corroding internally and leaking water on the 02 sensor. The fix is to get the cat replaced, which is covered under warranty through BRP.

    Looking at Buying a Scarab

They don't in my opinion, but that's only if you do your regular services that are required. As we have all learned over the years, everybody has an opinion based on their experiences. Without going into detail there I will just stay on topic. The Scarab Ghost 165 is your least expensive...
