Rotax engine substitute oil filter ?

The Fuss word was sent with a smile Mike :). A collapsed oil filter doesn't CAUSE a hydro-lock, You're correct)...water ingestion does,..and if you see the collapsed oil filter,..you have ingested water or coolant. I thought I was clear on this and it would've been understood by most here (I...

Rotax engine substitute oil filter ?

So what's the fuss all about which filter to use? They all work just fine. Unless, you hydrolock your motor (Filter Collapses), or you just don't change them but once a year. :yuck:

I am not saying it's for your maintenance 10 hour check, but it's likely. Double check connections at your battery (s) for tightness. Yeah, I can see your point with a 6 hour drive. The computer diag software points you in a good direction but it's only available through BRP for dealers only...

Questions for Ron@Scarab (Or anyone that knows the answers)

I am both my friend. (I believe I answered these questions somewhere for somebody recently:) Tower top or lower attachment: Rule is one line for ONE person doing the activity, period. What you do later, is up to you, but don't blame Scarab if you snap things, lol! HOI Tower Extensions...

    Check your Cleats......

As I mentioned in my last post, you can use it but 5200 is white which wont look good around the cleat on a black boat IMO. The purpose of the sealant is to keep out water, so any clear silicone sealant will work and look nicer. If Scarab used 5200 from the beginning, so be it and use that...

    Check your Cleats......

Elio195,...(Since I have been really trying to go out of my way for Scarab owners with certain issues) I want to be clear here for you and everyone who reads these posts. I looked into this personally for you. First of all, it is unfortunate that had happened---things happen. Secondly, please...

    Check your Cleats......

This isn't supposed to happen. I contacted Scarab on this and they said for me to tell you to bring it to your dealer for assessment. Those don't just get glued in. SMH.

Replace stuff on Scarab blog (extended version).

As they say, it's supply and demand! I have every watercraft catalog in existence, and they don't have anything yet for a Scarab nor Glastron. I can tell you if that you call these aftermarket companies, they will listen and start making things. Contact Hydro-Turf for instance regarding the...

Replace stuff on Scarab blog (extended version).

***This is just a personal opinion.*** Glastron boats are a Price Only boat. We just had one here for service from another dealer, and I wasn't impressed by it at all. I can see why there are issues but the boat is an inexpensive boat to start. Again, this is just my opinion. Also, you can...

Replace stuff on Scarab blog (extended version).

This was just posted to me today by Scarab. It is on our Facebook page as well. I do agree that the Glastron mats are the worst and 1st Gen Scarab's mats. I have been adding (Installing) these SeaMats brand to various boats and I can tell you that they are of high quality and easy to clean...

    Windshield shift

That's definitely a warranty issue. Get it to your dealer asap. Even if it's out of warranty, they should help you with that. If not, let me know, and I can get things happening for you.
